Open Source Projects
Almost all developers have come to rely on open source solutions. We all benefit when we also give back. Contributions to an open source solution can range from bug reports, to patches, or even ideas. I have contributed to some popular projects, such as Apache Maven and Apache Tomcat. OWASP Dependency Check is an open source solution designed to detect known vulnerabilities from dependencies. I helped optimize the code so that it would run faster, making it easier to integrate into a CI/CD pipeline.
